Job summary

Petco is seeking a Companion Animal Supervisor to manage health, care, and presentation of live animals while driving sales, customer experience, and operational excellence in the Companion Animal and Aquatics departments.

You will coach partners, ensure strict adherence to standards, and balance animal welfare with inventory and margin goals. This is a full-time role requiring leadership and strong customer service in a Pet Care Center environment.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience, preferably in a pet retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of companion animals, aquatics, and animal care practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• High focus on customer service and people development.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of all live animals according to Petco standards and veterinary protocols.
• Coach and mentor partners to deliver confident, compassionate customer interactions.
• Drive Companion Animal and Aquatics sales, margin, and shrink performance through disciplined execution.
• Lead by example and support Pet Care Center operations, safety, and compliance.
