Job summary

Felton Institute’s Bayview Multi-Service Resource Drop-In Center in San Francisco seeks a Part Time Peer Advisor to support clients with wellness checks and access to resources. You will help link clients to Medi-Cal, housing, and other services and ensure documentation is accurate.

Onsite role with evening/weekend availability. Requirements include at least one year living with mental health or substance use challenges, a high school diploma, and comfort explaining program rules.

Qualifications

• One year of personal experience with mental health issues and/or substance abuse.
• Read, write and explain client rules and regulations related to services.
• Peer Specialist Training, Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification and/or WRAP training are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to clients including wellness checks and independent living skills.
• Assist clients to link with Medi-Cal, housing and other resources.
• Conduct new client intake and explain program rules and regulations to participants.
• Maintain client logs and enter data into OneSystem or Circe databases.
• Communicate with team members and attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
