Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of customer service or clerical experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping, data entry, and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers: answer telephone calls, greet visitors, provide information, direct to the appropriate department.
• Process payments: collect and post daily water payments, balance drawers, assist with deposits.
• Manage utility accounts: assist customers with billing, water usage, garbage and recycling questions.
• Process service requests: handle new utility service applications, disconnects, address changes and updates.
• Maintain accurate records: scan documents, enter information, protect confidential data.
• Support water operations: generate service orders for meter reading verification and inquiries about leaks.
• Coordinate garbage & recycling services: communicate with contractors on new customers and missed services.
• Support delinquent accounts: prepare delinquent bills and late notices, assist with cut-off process.
