The City of Katy is looking for a dependable and hardworking Water Utility Worker to help maintain and support the City's water system. What You'll Do

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training and Experience Guidelines:High school diploma or equivalent; AND some basic mechanical experience preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid State Driver’s License required; Class B Commercial Driver’s License may be required.

This position requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Employee may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, work space restrictions, and intense noises.
