Responsibilities
- Enter, verify, and update customer account information in billing and meter management systems.
- Process meter books, generate district scrub files, and identify missing or abnormal reads.
- Import, review, and reconcile daily meter re‑reads, reads, and notes in the Customer Billing system.
- Cross‑check and analyze data and usage trends for accuracy.
- Investigate and report on leaks, stuck or broken meters, swapped meters, misreads, and other field discrepancies.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all customer and company data.
- Perform rebills and credit adjustments for leaks, misreads, and pool fills.
- Follow established department checklists and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Answer and direct customer calls; provide account information or elevate as needed.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer emails and service requests.
- Support the call center during peak periods or emergencies.
- Schedule district communications, including inserts, buckslips, and letters.
- Demonstrate a team‑oriented “Others First” attitude when supporting colleagues and customers.
- Prepare and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and usage summaries for management review.
- Create and update SOP documents and generate district reports as required.
- ically archive all completed work, service records, and closeout documents to company shared drives.
- Maintain organized digital and paper filing systems and calendars.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and confidentiality standards.
- Provide Beacon/Smart Meter support, including investigation of endpoint tampers and performance issues.
- Track meter accuracy and manage meter change‑out tasks.
- Create and manage daily tasks, input completed reads, and clear meter notes.
- Create new tasks as needed based on meter notes or skip‑reason codes.
- Maintain productivity in a time‑sensitive, fast‑paced environment.
- Participate in department team‑building exercises and cross‑training to support other office responsibilities.
- Support other departments with administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Attend the full week of onboarding and any required training sessions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel, Starnik, and Adjutant (training provided).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrates a team‑oriented “Others First” attitude.
- Able to remain composed and efficient under pressure.
Additional Requirements
- Full‑time position: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Must be available to work in‑office during emergency response hours (extreme weather or emergency events).
