Job summary

OATS is hiring drivers in Harrisonville, MO to operate mini-vans, Transits, and buses for community transportation services. You will assist riders, secure mobility devices, and ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness while performing pre/post-trip inspections.

The role requires a valid CDL/Class E with clean record, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and compliance with DOT and company policies. Training is provided, with day shifts and non-exempt hours.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 23 years old.
• CDL or Class E license with no more than 4 points.
• Must pass U.S. DOT physical and road test.
• Must take and pass drug screening, and undergo random testing.
• Must be bondable and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience using a vehicle tablet is a plus.
• Flexible to adjust to different schedules and routes.

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned routes on mini-vans, Ford Transits or a wide body bus.
• Assist riders on/off the vehicle with respect and safety.
• Safely secure wheelchairs and mobility devices and follow procedures.
• Maintain excellent vehicle cleanliness and report issues.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and document results.
• Complete required paperwork and attend training.
• Comply with all rules and regulations.
