Job summary

OATS Transit in Missouri is seeking drivers to serve seniors, people with disabilities, and rural communities. You will operate mini-vans, Ford Transits, or a wide body bus with a focus on safety and reliable service.

This non-profit, non-exempt role is hourly and requires pre-/post-trip inspections, use of an in-vehicle tablet, and adherence to DOT rules. Training is provided, with paid holidays and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 23 years old.
• CDL license (Class E or CDL) with <=4 points.
• Must pass a U.S. DOT physical and road test.
• Must pass drug screening and undergo random testing.
• Must be bondable.
• Proficiency using a computer tablet in the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned OATS vehicles (mini-vans, Ford Transits, or large buses) safely and courteously.
• Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices according to procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe vehicle and equipment.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Use in-vehicle tablet to receive trip information and update times.
• Complete required paperwork and submit promptly to regional office.
• Attend routine paid training.
• Follow all company, state, and federal regulations.
