Job summary

OATS Transit in Missouri is hiring drivers to serve seniors, individuals with disabilities and the rural public. This non-exempt hourly role involves assisting riders on and off the bus, securing mobility devices, and keeping vehicles clean and safe.

As a driver you will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, use an in-vehicle tablet for trip updates, and complete required paperwork. Training is provided and adherence to regulations is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 23 years old.
• CDL license (Class E or CDL) with no more than 4 points.
• Must pass U.S. DOT physical and road test.
• Must pass drug screening and undergo random testing.
• Bondable.
• Must use a vehicle tablet; computer experience is a plus.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist riders on and off the bus with respect and courtesy.
• Safely secure wheelchairs and mobility devices.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Operate in-vehicle tablet to receive trip information and update times.
• Complete required paperwork and attend routine paid training.
• Comply with all rules and regulations.
