Job summary

OATS Transit is a nonprofit in Missouri seeking drivers to serve seniors, individuals with disabilities and the rural public. You will operate mini-vans, Ford Transits or a wide body bus, with hourly, non-exempt status, and flexible shifts.

You will assist riders, ensure safety, perform vehicle checks and use a tablet for trip details while maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Training is provided; meet health and licensing requirements to join a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Class E or CDL license required with no more than 4 points.
• Must pass U.S. DOT physical and road test.
• Must pass drug screening and random testing.
• Bondable.
• Must use a computer tablet in the vehicle; computer experience a plus.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Treat riders with respect, dignity and courtesy; assist riders on/off the bus.
• Safely secure wheelchairs and mobility devices per procedures.
• Keep assigned vehicle clean and in good condition.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Use in-vehicle tablet to receive trip info, updates and times.
• Complete required paperwork and submit timely.
• Attend routine paid training.
• Comply with federal/state/company rules and regulations.
