Job summary

ProBerco is seeking a Program Specialist to supervise Instructors in the Adult Training program, providing training, appraisal, and assigning duties. The role requires creativity and flexibility to develop meaningful activities and excellent interpersonal skills to work with a diverse population.

The Program Specialist will manage casework for a defined caseload, coordinate IPPs/ICPs, collaborate with families and residential providers, and ensure program reports are completed accurately.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree and one year’s experience working with people with disabilities; or Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or related field and two years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all employees assigned to the program area (monitor and guide performance, train new employees, relay information via staff meeting).
• Inspire people with disabilities or other special needs to lead meaningful lives by providing innovative services that promote dignity and respect.
• Develop volunteer, recreational, and paid work experiences in the community.
• Monitor program participants’ general health and diet, and communicate needs to supervisor and residential provider and/or family.
• Coordinate planning time and group meetings to discuss programmatic needs.
• Supervise and assist each program participant with day-to-day and therapeutic activities.
