Mainstream Living, Inc. in Ames, IA seeks an Assistant Team Leader (ATL) to provide direct support in community settings for individuals with intellectual disabilities and brain injuries.

The role includes supervising DSP staff, assisting Team Leaders and the Program Director, and handling administrative tasks essential to daily operations. The ATL will promote safety, professional conduct, and positive relationships with members, guardians, and staff while ensuring timely schedules, training,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field with some Human Service experience
• AA/2 year degree with some human service experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalency/HiSet/GED with minimum of 6 months Human Service Experience
• Driving: valid Driver’s License and insurable driving status in Iowa
• DSP-SE certification requirements and state training modules
• Basic data entry; familiarity with Word, Google Docs, Excel

Responsibilities

• Participate in interviewing, onboarding and training of new employees
• Manage staff work schedules and shift coverage
• Approve DSP timecards and monitor overtime
• Oversee DSP performance and provide feedback
• Code and submit employee expense reimbursements
• Monitor site safety and maintenance needs
• Assist Team Leaders and Program Director in caseload management
• Provide backup support when Team Leaders/Program Director are absent
• Deliver direct care and ensure quality member support
• Maintain communication with guardians and stakeholders
• Ensure completion of training and documentation for members
