Citizen Advocates, Inc. is seeking a Team Lead to supervise Direct Support Professionals and oversee daily care for residents with developmental disabilities. The role ensures health, safety, and welfare, while supporting community inclusion and daily living skills.

You will manage shifts, coordinate with nursing and administration, and ensure accurate documentation. The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, travel for hospital visits, and a flexible schedule to meet a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED with three years' experience working with people with developmental disabilities/mental health needs.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with personal care.
• Experience supervising Direct Support Professionals or similar staff roles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise DSPs during shifts and organize duties.
• Make decisions on unanticipated occurrences during shifts.
• Coordinate with nurse or administrator on call as needed.
• Provide on-site onboarding, training, and support to staff.
• Ensure client programming and care follow written plans.
• Document care and programming accurately and timely.
• Maintain staffing ratios and use least restrictive prompting.
