Job summary

The Community Supports Network is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide daily support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. No prior experience is required and paid training is provided, with opportunities for growth through leadership roles.

These roles are based in residential homes and community settings, offering a rewarding entry into healthcare and human services with a supportive team and potential for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Reliable vehicle for transportation during shifts.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• Ability to complete job-related training and certifications.
• No degree or prior experience required. Paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and household routines.
• Support personal care, hygiene, and medication assistance per training and care plans.
• Transport and accompany individuals to appointments, work, errands, and community activities.
• Encourage independence, social engagement, hobbies, and personal interests.
• Help individuals learn life skills, job skills, and community participation.
• Complete habilitation activities and required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow health, safety, behavioral, and individual support plans.
