Community Support Specialists help individuals develop skills, access resources, and learn to self-manage illnesses to be successful in life, work, education, and social settings. They teach, model, and practice skills with persons served to increase self-sufficiency and independence. Responsibilities include providing daily, direct, and indirect services to an assigned caseload, meeting individuals where they are to assist with daily living skills, educating on diagnosis and treatment, and helping access services such as financial, medical, housing assistance, crisis services, and meeting immediate needs like food, clothing, and shelter.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Providing daily, direct, and indirect services to clients, assisting with daily living skills, education, and resource access.
2. Documenting all activities timely and keeping supervisors informed of clinical consults, incidents, and crises.
3. Maintaining an organized work environment, managing time effectively, and ensuring chart compliance.
4. Monitoring and encouraging attendance at appointments including therapy, groups, medication, and PSR.
5. Promoting recovery, independence, self-care, and community support development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or other mental health fields preferred.
