Job summary

Work Opportunities Unlimited is seeking an Employment Specialist to help individuals find meaningful employment. You will guide clients through career goal-setting, resume creation, and interview preparation while building connections with local businesses.

You will coach clients at job sites, provide occasional transportation for interviews, and participate in our team-driven, member-owned environment that values growth and community impact.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the local community.
• Monday–Friday daytime hours; flexibility for part-time roles.
• Proficient with MS Office and documenting notes in an electronic system using a mobile device.

Responsibilities

• Develop career goals and objectives with individuals.
• Coach and guide individuals at job sites.
• Teach resume writing, applications, cover letters, and interview prep.
• Engage with local businesses to create job opportunities; provide transportation as needed.

As an Employment Specialist (known internally as a Career Resource Specialist) you will help individuals find meaningful employment.

A typical day might include the following:

• Working with individuals to develop career goals and objectives
• Teaching individuals how to create a customized resume, fill out effective job applications, write cover letters, and prepare for interviews
• Engaging with local businesses to develop potential job opportunities
• Coaching and guiding individuals at their job sites
• Provide occasional transportation to interviews and other essential employment milestones, while supporting individuals towards independent community travel. (mileage reimbursement provided)

• Valid driver’s license and comfortable traveling within your local community

Pay: $20-22 per hour
