Job summary

Sampson County is seeking a Community Social Services Technician to provide clerical and paraprofessional support for Adult and Children's Services. The role includes serving as a primary contact for clients, gathering information, directing clients to resources, and maintaining records with confidentiality.

Responsibilities extend to scheduling, mail and electronic file management, transportation assistance for court and medical visits, outreach, and collaboration with local service providers.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience performing similar administrative, customer service, or community placement tasks; or graduation from a two-year associate degree program with internship.
• Bilingual skills and/or DSS experience may be preferred.
• Ability to manage records, scheduling, and client intake with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical, administrative, and paraprofessional support to Adult and Children's Services staff.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and direct them to appropriate programs and staff.
• Maintain records and process documentation; schedule appointments; manage mail and electronic files.
• Provide transportation assistance to clients for court, medical appointments, school, and foster placements.
• Support community outreach, coordinate with local service providers, and assist with special projects.
