Community Support Specialist – CSBG ASPIRE Program (Sampson County)

Location: Sampson County, NC

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Salary: $45,200 – $48,200 annually

Travel: Up to 85%

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (some evenings and weekends required)

Position Summary

The Community Support Specialist – CSBG ASPIRE Program (Sampson County) provides direct support and service coordination to individuals and families working toward self-sufficiency. This position is responsible for developing individualized service plans, connecting participants to community resources, and ensuring compliance with program requirements and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized service plans
• Connect participants to community resources and services
• Maintain accurate case documentation and ensure compliance
• Provide advocacy, crisis support, and skill-building activities
• Coordinate services with staff and community partners
• Monitor participant progress and update plans as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field

Experience:

• 2 years of experience in case management, community support, or social services preferred
