Job summary

North Los Angeles County Regional Center Inc. (NLACRC) is seeking a Service Coordinator in the SFV area to provide information, advocacy, and coordinated services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

The role involves developing plans, coordinating resources, documenting requirements, and collaborating across teams to ensure quality support. The position requires a Bachelor’s in a human services field, at least two years of related experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or related human services field and at least two years of related experience.
• A Master’s degree in a related subject may be substituted for experience.
• Understanding of family systems and person-centered planning, with empathy and cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Provide information, advocacy, and service arrangement for consumers and families.
• Develop program plans for individuals; monitor and revise them as needed.
• Identify and coordinate services for individuals and their families.
• Document and complete forms and reports per regulations and NLACRC policies.
• Serve as advocate for individuals served by community agencies.
• Schedule and attend interdisciplinary meetings with individuals served and others.
• Identify barriers to service and implement culturally sensitive strategies.
• Rotate officer-of-the-day duties and provide case-coverage and on-call services when required.
