Centers for New Horizons in Chicago seeks a Sustainable Community Schools (SCS) Resource Coordinator to support the initiative at Mays Academy. This role serves as the primary liaison among students, families, school leadership, community partners, CPS staff, and Centers for New Horizons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Education, Social Work, Human Services, or related field.
• Associate degree with relevant experience encouraged to apply.
• Minimum 2 years in education, youth development, community engagement or similar.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience maintaining records and preparing reports.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and community-driven decisionmaking.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and support the Sustainable Community Schools Leadership Team.
• Build relationships with students, families, staff, and partners.
• Coordinate student, family, enrichment, wellness, and programs.
• Conduct community needs assessments and asset mapping.
• Support family engagement and meaningful participation.
• Manage schedules, logistics, referrals, and partner communications.
• Maintain records, attendance, participation data, and reports.
• Monitor implementation and support continuous improvement.
• Assist with grant compliance, budget tracking, and reimbursements.
