Job summary

Urban Initiatives seeks a Sustainable Community Schools Site Coordinator in Chicago to lead the implementation of its SCS model, bridging school, family, and community partnerships with a justice-centered approach. The role reports to the Director, OST and works across schools, families, and community partners to dismantle oppressive systems and create sustainable support structures.

• Experience coordinating school and community programs.
• Ability to facilitate inclusive planning and decision-making.
• Strong collaboration with diverse stakeholders and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the SCS model implementation across schools and communities.
• Develop and convene a representative SCS Leadership Team with youth, parents, educators, and community members.
• Design outreach strategies to engage multiple stakeholder groups (youth, parents, educators, community).
• Ensure compliance with funding requirements and accurate reporting.
