Job summary

United Neighborhood Centers of NEPA is seeking a Community Revitalization Coordinator in Scranton, PA. This full-time role blends in-office duties with active field work in Pine Brook, Carbondale, and South Side markets, reporting to the Director of Community Revitalization.

Expect 40 hours weekly with evenings and Saturdays as needed. The ideal candidate balances administrative tasks with hands-on community engagement, market operations, and program promotion, building strong local partnerships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, community development, or a related field.
• Experience in community outreach, community development, event coordination, or a related area.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the weekly operations of Carbondale and Scranton Farmers Markets.
• Organize and support community events, market promotions, and outreach programs.
• Help transport, set up, and break down materials and equipment for markets and events.
• Participate in community cleanups and neighborhood revitalization activities.
• Assist in comprehensive community plan management in the South Side and Pine Brook.
• Develop and maintain relationships with social service agencies, local businesses, residents, and other stakeholders.
• Build relationships across diverse neighborhoods to identify needs and opportunities.
• Provide support in implementing revitalization initiatives and promoting programs.
• Utilize social media marketing and branding to promote programs and events.
• Assist with data collection, reporting, and administrative requirements of the Elm Street program.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines.
