Job summary

United Neighborhood Centers of NEPA in Scranton, PA, is seeking a Community Revitalization Coordinator to support revitalization efforts in Pine Brook and local farmers markets. The role blends in-office duties with active field work, requiring outreach, event coordination, and community engagement.

The ideal candidate is organized, community-focused, and capable of balancing administrative tasks with on-site activities such as events, market support, and neighborhood projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience in community outreach or event coordination.
• Ability to obtain necessary certifications for applicable programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing weekly operations of Carbondale and Scranton Farmers Markets.
• Organize and support community events, market promotions, pop-up events, and outreach.
• Assist with transporting, setting up, and breaking down materials and equipment for markets and events.
• Participate in community cleanups, beautification projects, and neighborhood revitalization activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with social service agencies, local businesses, residents, and stakeholders.
• Build relationships across diverse communities and identify opportunities for programming.
• Provide support in implementing revitalization initiatives and promoting programs.
• Utilize social media marketing and branding to promote programs and events.
• Manage data collection, reporting, and administrative tasks of the Elm Street program.
• Coordinate multiple projects and adjust schedules based on market needs.
