Job summary

Project Access seeks a Community Program Coordinator to design and implement programs that enhance community life for residents in affordable housing communities. The role acts as a vital link between residents and services, delivering workshops and coordinating after-school and teen programs.

You will build partnerships with local providers, manage volunteer staff, and track outcomes across four pillars: Economic Stability, Education for Youth & Families, Health & Wellness, and Community

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in multi-family housing or related fields such as social services or community outreach, or a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field.
  • Experience in after-school programs or educational settings for youth and serving diverse populations with cultural competency.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Publisher, Outlook). Familiar with Adobe Acrobat, Canva, Salesforce, Concur.
  • Strong time management, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter, multi-tasker, and strong communicator.

Responsibilities

  • Implement core programs and services, including connecting, engaging, and empowering residents across four initiatives: Economic Stability, Education for Youth & Families, Health & Wellness, and Community Building.
  • Conduct outreach and survey resident needs; coordinate after-school and teen programs with homework assistance and enrichment activities.
  • Plan, prepare, and facilitate resident-facing workshops and group sessions; deliver topics when partners are unavailable.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local providers to deliver services and workshops.
  • Plan and facilitate community-building events; provide residents with information and referrals to access resources.
  • Support food distribution needs, maintain food bank partnerships, and manage distribution.
  • Develop relationships with property management; organize monthly outreach (door-to-door, digital, on-site).
  • Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers and interns supporting programming.
  • Publish monthly newsletters and calendars of events.
  • Collect and submit program outcomes data focusing on social impact.
  • Provide input and adhere to budgets for resident service programs.
