Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Progressively responsible experience in education, social work, nonprofit management, or a related field.
• Comfort with Google Drive, Microsoft Office, and basic social media platforms; willingness to learn new tech.
• Demonstrated experience working with youth, families, and community-based programs.
• Commitment to community engagement and service.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse populations.
• Maturity, professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment in a relationship-based environment.
• Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries in a highly relational community setting.
• Ability to work independently and be accountable in a non-traditional work structure.

Responsibilities

• Reside within a designated Friendship House and integrate into the neighborhood fabric.
• Spend consistent time with neighbors, actively building trust and fostering relationships.
• Serve as a primary contact and resource for community residents.
• Identify community needs and strengths through direct interaction and observation.
• Operate and manage daily activities for the Kids and Youth Club and related programs.
• Organize community events such as block parties and family nights.
• Develop and implement new initiatives aligning with the Friendship House mission.
