Job summary

New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC Health Department) seeks a Response and Engagement Team Supervisor to lead a multidisciplinary RET. You will supervise staff, guide data-driven evaluation, and coordinate with data aggregations and public health teams.

The role emphasizes engagement, de-escalation, trauma-informed care, and partnership with NYPD, DHS, and local stakeholders to connect communities to services and improve mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public health, social science, or related field.
• 5 years direct service experience with high-risk populations.
• At least 2 years direct supervisory experience in behavioral health.
• Ability to engage, de-escalate, and peer intervene.
• Knowledge of risk management, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor staff.
• Monitor data entry by RET staff, ensuring data integrity and reporting.
• Participate with evaluation team to review outcomes.
• Develop tools and plans for evaluation and data collection.
• Coordinate with ODATA and other teams on data accuracy and program planning.
• Attend CREU team and division meetings.
• Communicate with ED, AC, and other leaders as needed.
