Job summary

Volunteers of America Western Washington provides resource navigation, case management, and ongoing support to individuals, families, youth, and community members through Community Resource Centers. This full-time role collaborates with staff, volunteers, and partners to promote stability and self-sufficiency.

The Support Specialist conducts assessments, develops action plans, connects to services, and maintains confidential records while engaging in outreach to strengthen access to resources

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in human services or related field.
• 1+ year of experience in case management, resource navigation, or related services.
• Experience helping individuals/families navigate public benefits and community resources.
• Strong communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide resource navigation, case management, and support in person or by phone.
• Assess participants to identify goals, barriers, and needs for stability.
• Develop action plans and coordinate services with partners.
• Maintain confidential participant records and documentation.
• Engage with community partners and participate in outreach events.
• Support program operations and data reporting.
