Job summary

City of Auburn is seeking a Recreation Leader–Event & Programs to assist with Parks and Recreation events and programs. This temporary part-time role reports to the event supervisor and supports city-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities include coordinating vendors, creating marketing materials (press releases and social posts), and managing registrations in Excel. Candidates should have 1–3 years of related experience; a valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience in events or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Knowledge of city event policies is a plus.
• Ability to work with volunteers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing city-wide events and programs.
• Identify and contact vendors for city-wide events and programs.
• Create marketing materials for city-wide events including press releases and social media posts.
• Inputs vendor applications, volunteer applications, and instructor applications into Excel.
• Reviews program information and registrant data for online display.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
