Job summary

Auburn University is seeking an Operations and Events Coordinator for Recreation and Wellness. This role will oversee daily scheduling and operations of facilities, supervise student staff, and coordinate routine and special events to support campus wellness and engagement.

The position requires experience in facility operations, event planning, and staff development, with opportunities to contribute to long‑range plans and university goals. This is a continuing, on‑site role in Auburn, AL.

Qualifications

• Experience in scheduling facilities and all components of event management.
• Direct personnel management experience of a collegiate recreation student staff.
• Master's degree or relevant experience preferred for advanced levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversees scheduling, day‑to‑day operations, and supervision of Recreation and Wellness facilities.
• Coordinate scheduling of facilities and assist with events and internal programs.
• Supervise 15–20 student employees, including recruitment, scheduling, and mentoring.
• Manage inventory for event equipment, staff attire, and departmental supplies.
• Monitor events budget, ensure staffing and inventory levels meet policies.
