The City of Auburn, AL is seeking a Recreation Leader–Event & Programs as part of the Parks and Recreation Department to support city-wide events and programs. The role involves assisting with event execution, coordinating vendors, and creating promotional materials for public programs.

This position is responsible for providing assistance with Parks and Recreation events and programs. This position reports to the supervisor of the event they are assigned to.

One (1) to three (3) years’ experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The work is light work, which requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects. Work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, or walking. The employee uses tools or equipment requiring manual dexterity, distinguishes between shades of color, and utilizes the sense of smell.
The work is typically performed in an indoor recreation center environment. The employee is exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, and irritating chemicals. The work requires the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, gloves, etc.
This position is Temporary and not eligible for benefits.
