Job summary

Independent Management Services is a full-service property management and marketing firm focused on revitalizing under-managed multifamily housing developments. Since 1989, we have grown to over 100 sustainable communities across 11 states, specializing in affordable and workforce housing.

We seek a detail-oriented, proactive manager to oversee day-to-day operations, occupancy, leasing, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Leasing, sales, and customer service experience required.
• Sales-minded with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Tax Credit Compliance, EIV, and HUD Section 8 subsidy programs.
• Familiarity with REAC and MOR compliance.
• Proficiency with Paycom and Microsoft Office; RealPage OneSite experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of all phases of the operation of the community.
• Occupancy, marketing, leasing, move-in/out processes, and resident income verification.
• Quarterly unit inspections, monitor work orders/maintenance, enforce community rules.
• Rent eviction and collections in line with state law and policy.
• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate on-site personnel.
• Foster relationships with residents, vendors, law enforcement, and community members.
