Job summary

Camp Fire Central Puget Sound’s Community Programs Coordinators in Seattle, WA lead school-year and summer activities, manage day camp operations, logistics, and events, and coordinate volunteers and seasonal staff under the Community Programs Director.

Two coordinators will join the team, sharing responsibilities across programs, focusing on safety, data reporting, and seamless programming transitions while maintaining inclusive, engaging environments for youth and families.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software (Excel and/ or Google Sheets) for tracking and organization.
• Experience using or willingness to learn database tools (e.g., Airtable)
• Demonstrated ability to improve efficiency or streamline workflows digitally/technically.
• Two years of experience with staff supervision, volunteer management, and training.
• Experience in logistical coordination for events and programming.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license required.
• Minimum age of 25, per the American Camp Association standard for camp directors.
• Professional certifications such as lifeguarding, archery facilitation, etc. are useful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute seasonal programs, including school-year Community Programs, Teen Leadership Programs, and summer Day Camp Programs.
• Collaborate with Co-Program Coordinator, Manager, and department Director to ensure seamless seasonal programming transitions.
• Serve as an on-site lead for department events and ongoing programs.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects with deadlines, including scheduling and staffing and longer-term improvements.
• Co-Direct summer Day Camp operations, including seasonal employee lifecycle and on-site logistics.
• Communicate professionally with families, participants, staff, and volunteers.
• Ensure adherence to safety and risk management standards and documentation.
