Job summary

Virginia Tech’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital seeks a Community Practice Service Liaison to deliver exceptional client service, triage calls, and manage communications between clients and the care team. The role supports education of student doctors and fosters long-term client relationships in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, plus comfort with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in person and over the telephone.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience scanning, uploading, organizing, and managing documents.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Answering and triaging telephone calls and monitoring emails.
• Scheduling appointments and facilitating communication between clients and the care team.
• Addressing client concerns and ensuring a positive client experience from first contact to follow-up.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of veterinary professionals, students, and clients.
