Job summary

UFC Gym is seeking an outgoing, motivated team member focused on lead generation, community outreach, and driving new prospective members into the gym. You will actively create opportunities via external prospecting, street-team activity, networking, and community events to convert conversations into appointments and gym visits.

The role emphasizes hands-on outreach, independent work, and meeting monthly membership and personal production goals, with a base plus commission structure.

UFC GYM is looking for an outgoing, motivated team member with a strong focus on lead generation, community outreach, and driving new prospective members into the gym.

This is not a position built around waiting for walk-in traffic. You will be expected to actively create opportunities through external prospecting, street-team activity, networking, local businesses, community events, referrals, and follow-up.

The ideal candidate enjoys meeting new people, building relationships, working independently, and turning conversations into appointments and gym visits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Generation & Community Outreach

• Conduct consistent off-site prospecting and street-team activity throughout the local community.
• Generate new leads and turn those leads into scheduled appointments and gym visits.
• Visit local businesses, employers, apartment communities, shopping centers, organizations, and other high-traffic locations.
• Build relationships with local businesses, employers, property managers, and community organizations.
• Develop 2–3 new corporate/business relationships per week.
• Schedule and coordinate 2–3 external promotional/community events per month.
• Distribute guest passes and promotional materials while actively collecting qualified leads.
• Identify new opportunities to introduce UFC GYM to prospective members.
• Maintain organized follow-up with leads, businesses, and community contacts.
• Track outreach activity, leads generated, appointments booked, upcoming events, and resulting gym traffic.

Membership Sales & Personal Production

• Follow up with prospects through phone, text, and other approved communication.
• Book membership appointments and meet or exceed monthly appointment and guest goals.
• Provide prospective members with the UFC GYM Fitness Tour and present membership options.
• Generate referrals from current and newly enrolled members.
• Meet or exceed personal sales and revenue goals established by management.
• Minimum expectations after the probationary period include 30 New Membership Units and 6 Personal Training Units per month.
• Maintain proper documentation and integrity with every sale.

Customer Service

• Provide a high level of customer service to members and guests.
• Follow up with newly enrolled members to ensure expectations are being met.
• Build relationships with existing members to generate referrals.
• Assist the team in maintaining a clean, professional, and welcoming facility.

Experience in sales, hospitality, networking, community outreach, events, business development, apartment leasing, retail, or other customer-facing roles is preferred.

Fitness industry experience is not required. We can teach you our memberships, programs, and sales process. We are looking for someone who knows how to communicate, build relationships, generate leads, and get people through the door.

Experience with social media, content creation, local marketing, photography/video, or event promotion is a plus, but not required. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of sales, hospitality, customer service, outreach, or business development experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Independent self-starter with strong organizational skills.
• Comfortable using computers, phones, and basic sales systems.
• Must complete company sales training and orientation.
• Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. and regularly stand, walk, and travel throughout the local community.

This position has no direct reports and reports directly to club management.

Compensation: $19.50/hour base + commission.

Base compensation may vary based on location, skills, experience, and other related factors.
