The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum seeks a highly organized Community Outreach Manager to oversee off-site youth and family programs across Davidson County and select locations in Middle Tennessee. You will manage contract educators, volunteers, and interns, and ensure engaging activities like instrument petting, songwriting, and art-making.

Reporting to the Director of Family and Community Programs, this role requires strong facilitation, logistics, and relationship-building with diverse

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, museum studies, or related field.
• Experience project managing educational programs in non-traditional settings.
• A minimum of three years working in a museum, school, or similar education or nonprofit organization.
• A minimum of two years of logistics coordination or related administrative experience.
• Experience with teaching and learning for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of museum education practices, including object-based and inquiry-based learning.
• Experience in a customer service role.
• Experience designing educational activities and programs.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel across Nashville and Davidson County.
• Comfort with musical instruments and instruction.
• Experience engaging with diverse audiences, including youth and families.
• Interest in or curiosity about country music.
• Knowledge in visual arts or songwriting.
• Experience managing information in databases.
• Awareness of Nashville and Middle Tennessee nonprofit and community-based agencies.

Responsabilités

• Manage approximately 80-100 community outreach programs annually, as project manager and point of contact for events.
• Design a community outreach strategy with the Director of Family and Community Programs, targeting new partners.
• Organize and coordinate program logistics with partners, teaching artists, volunteers, and educators.
• Collaborate with Education team to plan music and visual arts programming.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders, maintaining communication and adjusting programs to partner needs.
• Supervise volunteers, interns, and contracted teaching artists.
• Oversee training and onboarding of teaching artists and staff for outreach events.
• Oversee program assessment, data tracking, and internal reporting.
• Create quarterly newsletter for external partners to streamline communications.
• Support Taylor Swift Education Center programming on an as-needed basis.
• Recruit, train, onboard, and coach teaching artists for workshops (guitar, banjo, songwriting, etc.).
• Coordinate logistics with contracted workshop facilitators.
• Oversee inventory and maintenance of program supplies and instruments.
• Manage administrative aspects of community programs, including budgets and reporting.
• Assist with Community Counts partnership and marketing strategies.
