Job summary

NYC Votes aims to increase civic participation among New Yorkers through Community Education and Outreach efforts, focusing on priority audiences and communities that speak languages other than English. The Community Outreach Intern will report to the Senior Outreach Manager and support events and partnerships across New York City.

Qualifications

• Experience organizing outreach events or workshops is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and adapt messaging.

Responsibilities

• Support outreach efforts in low-turnout neighborhoods across NYC.
• Assist in research, preparation, implementation, and evaluation of outreach events.
• Contribute creative outreach tactics and assist in strategy development to maximize reach.
• Help maintain internal systems for partnership tracking and data entry.
• Travel to priority neighborhoods to deliver NYC Votes civic engagement curriculum.
