Job summary

MidPen Housing is seeking an Assistant Community Manager for Sunset Creek and Sunset Pines in Fairfield. You will oversee income verification, lease processing, waitlist maintenance, and re-certifications while supporting HUD MORs and TCAC compliance.

You’ll coordinate with maintenance, track work orders, and conduct inspections, ensuring accurate resident files and efficient operations. Teamwork with on-site services is essential to provide stable affordable housing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least one year of residential property management or relevant administrative experience
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with RealPage is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organized and detail-oriented work habits, especially around confidential resident files
• Ability to work independently while staying aligned with a Community Manager and broader team
• Genuine alignment with MidPen's mission in affordable housing

Responsibilities

• Handle income verification appointments and process lease agreements
• Maintain the waitlist and assist with re-certifications
• Coordinate HUD MORs and TCAC compliance reviews
• Coordinate with maintenance staff and track work orders
• Conduct property inspections and flag maintenance or security concerns
• Support rent collection, petty cash logs, and bank deposits
• Communicate notices and schedule turnover forms; coordinate resident meetings
