Job summary

Central Lincoln County YMCA is seeking an Art & Handwork Instructor to lead after-school art classes for seniors and children on Wednesday and Friday afternoons, with opportunities for program expansion. Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a related field.
• CPR and First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Team player with superb interpersonal skills and ability to work with staff and the public in a positive manner.
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, work independently, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• General computer skills and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Art & Handwork classes for seniors and children after school on Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
• Promotes healthy living, social responsibility, and youth development with department leadership.
• Collaborates to create and execute art programs/curriculum while ensuring safety and YMCA standards.
• Builds relationships with staff, participants, and community partners and connects them to the YMCA.
• Maintains a safe, welcoming environment and recruits volunteers to support instruction.
