Job summary

City National Bank is seeking a Community Lending Mortgage Banker to originate residential mortgage loans and build relationships with diverse clients. This role focuses on outside sales, referrals, and compliant processing coordination, with emphasis on serving underserved communities.

The position requires extensive mortgage experience, a strong network of professional referrals, and proficient use of CRM tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of retail residential mortgage sales experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of mortgage or financial experience as part of a community lending team.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with diverse and underserved clients.
• Must be in good standing under the Safe Act and registered or eligible for NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans and related bank products; expand referral network.
• Prospect for clients at their locations away from the office.
• Provide sound and ethical loan counseling to applicants.
• Liaise between Bank and customer during processing and underwriting to ensure timely processing and service.
• Complete loan applications in accordance with Bank policies and TRID requirements.
• Forward complete packages to Processing and Underwriting.
• Develop sourcing strategies to meet goals.
• Attend sales meetings and training sessions.
