Job summary

City & County Credit Union seeks a Community Mortgage Advisor to grow first and second mortgage loan business via external referrals and community ties. You will network with realtors, builders and financial professionals to sustain a strong pipeline and originate loans.

You will explain programs, assist with applications, review DU findings, and coordinate with underwriters to close loans efficiently while delivering superior member service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years as a Mortgage Loan Officer preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows-based PC applications including Microsoft Office and mortgage origination systems.
• Eligible to register with NMLS and maintain MLO registration.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, able to manage daily workflow with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Solicits new mortgage and home equity business through community relationships.
• Networks externally to build a pipeline of referral sources.
• Explains mortgage programs, fees, loan options, and terms to partners and borrowers.
• Assists borrowers with inquiries and establishing membership with CCCU.
• Inputs loan applications into the LOS and reviews DU findings.
• Coordinates with underwriter and processor to ensure timely closings.
• Cross-sells other CCCU products and services.
