Job summary

Citizens Federal Savings Bank in Leavenworth, KS is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential mortgage loans on-site. You will meet with prospective borrowers, assess finances, and guide applicants through the loan application and approval process.

Daily tasks include evaluating credit, income, and collateral, recommending appropriate loan products, and coordinating with processing and underwriting teams to ensure timely closings.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Loan Officer with a strong understanding of borrower needs and lending practices.
• Knowledge of Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending processes, including local and federal regulations.
• Familiarity with Underwriting standards and documentation requirements to support accurate loan decisions.
• Demonstrated strength in Customer Service, with the ability to communicate clearly and build trust-based relationships.
• Proven ability to meet production goals while maintaining high ethical standards and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical and financial evaluation skills, including the ability to review credit, income, and collateral.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with comfort working in a team-oriented, on-site environment.
• Basic proficiency in loan origination systems and common office software (e.g., MS Office).
• Previous experience in residential mortgage lending or banking is strongly preferred; NMLS registration or eligibility to obtain it is required.
