People Encouraging People is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Hyattsville, MD. This full-time role focuses on delivering community-based mental health services, helping individuals with serious mental illness live independently and reduce hospitalizations.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team and share caseloads, providing flexible, field-based support that adapts to clients' real-world needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed professional (LMSW, LGPC, LCPC, or LCSW-C) required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience providing community-based mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based mental health services in homes, shelters, and real-world settings.
• Collaborate with psychiatry, nursing, case management, and peer support.
• Share responsibility for a team caseload—no isolated practice.
• Assist clients with crisis intervention, housing stability, and daily living skills.
