Job summary

People Encouraging People is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Baltimore, MD. This full-time clinical role focuses on helping individuals with serious mental illness live independently, stay out of the hospital, and build meaningful lives in their communities.

You’ll provide hands-on, field-based services in real-world settings, collaborating with psychiatry, nursing, and case management to deliver personalized, flexible care.

Qualifications

• Licensed mental health professional with applicable license.
• Ability to work in community settings and adapt to changing situations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for serving individuals with serious mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based mental health services in homes, shelters, and other real-world settings.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (psychiatry, nursing, case management, peer support).
• Share responsibility for a team caseload—no isolated practice.
• Support clients with symptom management, crisis intervention, housing stability, substance use recovery, daily living skills.

What You’ll Do
