Job summary

Associated Recreation Council (ARC) is seeking a Communications & Marketing Coordinator to elevate ARC’s Seattle presence and strengthen the partnership with Seattle Parks & Recreation. Under the Chief Advancement Officer, you will develop digital content, manage ARC’s website, and support donor communications to engage volunteers and program participants.

This role focuses on storytelling, social media, events promotion, and audience engagement to broaden ARC’s reach and impact across the city.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in social media management, marketing outreach, or content coordination.
• Strong written communication skills for external communications.
• Experience with WordPress and email marketing tools preferred.
• Ability to design graphics and edit video content is a plus.
• Non-profit or donor-focused communications experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with WCAG/ADA accessibility standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and implementing marketing plans and activities.
• Develop strategies to raise ARC awareness among participants and donors.
• Lead ARC’s social media presence with consistent engagement.
• Implement digital marketing and paid email campaigns within budget.
• Manage ARC’s website and coordinate updated calendars and events.
• Draft newsletters, emails, and donor communications for distribution.
• Represent ARC at community events to build awareness and relationships.
