Job summary

The Arc in Leesburg, VA is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to independently create and execute content to publicize the organization’s activities, moments, and initiatives via direct mail, collateral, events, newsletters, and digital channels.

Lead content across websites, social media, videos, and advertising, while maintaining brand consistency. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience are required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations or related field.
• 3+ years of directly related hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and PR.
• Experience designing and executing large-scale events.
• Proven skills in writing press releases, marketing collateral, social media, and digital media.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and manage the corporate M&C plan.
• Coordinate with senior staff to guide program-specific outreach.
• Liaise with local and regional media; write press releases and coordinate press conferences.
• Maintain The Arc’s website content to stay clear and on brand.
• Create event flyers and sponsor packages per branding standards.
• Curate photo/video library of mission moments and training courses.
• Represent The Arc at community awareness and fundraising events.
• Provide training and support for senior staff and Board Directors as ambassadors.
• Plan and manage fundraising and awareness event logistics, including volunteers.
