Community Manager

Role Summary:

Good Game Family is looking for a passionate and dedicated Community Manager to help us grow and engage our Discord community and in- game communities. This is a remote volunteer position with flexible hours. This role is perfect for someone who loves gaming, has experience managing online communities, and wants to make an impact in a non-toxic, inclusive gaming space.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome and onboard new members into the community.
• Build and engage the community by fostering meaningful discussions and connections across Discord and social media.
• Moderate and maintain a positive culture by enforcing community guidelines.
• Help identify pain points, moderate conflicts, and escalate concerns to leadership.
• Collaborate with streamers, creators, and esports teams to connect them with the community.

What We’re Looking For:

• A gamer with strong communication skills and a natural sense of online culture.
• Experience with Discord moderation tools, bots, and role systems.
• Positive attitude, patience, and ability to de-escalate tense situations.
• Self-starter who brings ideas for events, engagement, or structure.
• Conflict resolution skills and professionalism under pressure.

Bonus Traits (Nice to Have, Not Required):

• Experience hosting digital events, managing other communities, or helping grow online servers through engagement efforts.
• Familiarity with games we support: Rust, Once Human, Diablo, CS2, etc.
• Experience working with stream teams or esports communities.
• A background in mental health, DEI, or nonprofit spaces
