Job summary

Hunt Military Communities is seeking a Community Manager for HMHSS Fort Lee in Fort Lee, VA to support the Community Director in operations, resident relations, and financial administration.

You will supervise leasing and service staff, manage rent collection, prepare financial reports, coordinate inspections, and ensure compliance with policies while delivering excellent customer service to residents and the military community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Property Management or related discipline preferred.
• 2 years property leasing experience required; 1–3 years managing others.
• Previous experience with YARDI preferred.
• Strong computer skills (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• DL/Driver's License valid in state.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises Community Supervisors, Leasing Specialists and Resident Service Specialists.
• Monitors accounts receivable including rent collection and rent roll accuracy.
• Processes evictions and related paperwork; attends court hearings if required.
• Leases units and handles lease renewals; ensures proper files.
• Generates daily, weekly, and monthly financial and leasing reports.
• Coordinates with maintenance for move-ins/move-outs and unit reconditioning.
• Assists with resident retention and planning community events.
• Responsible for site-level leadership in the absence of the Community Director.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and safety standards.
