Job summary

Hunt Military Communities is seeking an experienced Leasing Specialist in Hampton, VA to coordinate military family leasing needs with the property management team. You will qualify applicants, manage waitlists, execute leases, and maintain resident files while ensuring government compliance.

You will assist in marketing, show properties, and support the Community Director in delivering social programs and resident services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or related discipline Preferred.
• Previous Leasing Experience Required.
• Experience using common office software (Word, Excel, Email).
• Strong customer service and sales skills.
• Ability to work in varied weather and handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate requests from military families with the property management team.
• Maintain a compliant leasing waitlist for efficient turnover.
• Perform leasing functions including showings, leases, and renewals.
• Qualify applicants per Government requirements.
• Schedule move-ins and coordinate inspections with families.
• Record service requests and route to maintenance leadership.
• Prepare and analyze market rate trends and advertising.
• Show properties and negotiate lease terms with applicants.
