Job summary

Sunrise Management is seeking a Community Manager for Villa Del Mar Apartments in Oceanside, CA. The role oversees on-site operations, leasing, maintenance, and resident relations under the Regional Manager’s supervision.

You’ll lead staff, enforce move-in/out protocols, manage payroll, rent collections, and budgeting while ensuring Fair Housing compliance and safety standards for a thriving community.

Qualifications

• College degree or related coursework preferred.
• 1–2 years property management experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of California landlord-tenant laws and Fair Housing policies.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and evaluate on-site staff and foster a supportive work environment.
• Conduct regular inspections of common areas, units, and grounds for cleanliness, safety, and standards.
• Enforce move-in/move-out protocols with thorough inspections.
• Ensure payroll is submitted timely and records kept accurately.
• Oversee rent collection and delinquent accounts per California laws.
• Process daily bank deposits and maintain accounting procedures.
• Monitor expenses, prepare budgets, and propose cost-saving improvements.
• Promote units through approved platforms and showings.
• Maintain leasing records and ensure Fair Housing compliance.
• Analyze market trends to adjust pricing and marketing strategies.
• Support resident renewals and community engagement.
• Respond to resident concerns promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with California laws, Fair Housing, and safety standards.
