CAMS is seeking a Community Associate (Manager in Training) in Columbia, SC. This full-time, salaried role immerses you in community management as you shadow managers and begin an educational journey to become a portfolio manager.

Six to eighteen months are typical for transition to a portfolio manager, with performance reviews guiding progression. CAMS provides learning paths, mentorship, and cross-department exposure to grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Proven proficiency in learning new technology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Proven capability to review and analyze financial reports.
• Grasp of contractual bidding processes.
• Knowledge of proper meeting order.
• Familiarity with the architectural request process.
• Ability to create and maintain a proper working budget.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open communication with boards and homeowners.
• Prepare and present budgets to boards.
• Analyze monthly financial reports and create variance reports.
• Create monthly management reports.
• Coordinate with vendors for maintenance projects.
• Oversee daily operations of portfolio.
• Attend board and internal team meetings.
• Supervise administrative and maintenance staff when applicable.
