Greystar in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Community Manager to oversee day-to-day property operations, lead onsite teams, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with housing regulations. This role drives leasing, revenue, and resident satisfaction while coordinating with owners and stakeholders.

The position emphasizes staff supervision, vendor management, and maintaining property standards to deliver exceptional resident experiences in a dynamic multi-family setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• 4-6 years minimum of relevant experience in residence life and/or property management.
• Knowledge of equity and inclusion issues and laws impacting higher education and community living (FERPA, ADA, Title IX).
• Ability to implement problem solving strategies to manage everyday residential challenges.
• Compassionate and diplomatic with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently as a leader and team member.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets for the property by analyzing financial statements and market data.
• Meet revenue targets by setting rents and ensuring timely collection and reporting.
• Approve invoices, verify insurance certificates, and coordinate with vendors and owners.
• Control expenditures within approved budgets and manage petty cash.
• Oversee lease enforcement, conduct inspections, and manage renewal processes.
• Build relationships with housing officials and university stakeholders to support residents.
